Theme: Geospatial@Work ‘Geospatial@Work’ is the theme of Map Middle East ’09. Both government and private organisations around the globe have realised the importance of being “Geospatial Aware” and are investing in adopting and implementing geospatial technologies as a component to their existing or new work flow management systems. The technology has proved its significance over the years by systematically enhancing the overall productivity and quality of our daily lives in one form or another. Geospatial @ Work will highlight the latest trends in the geospatial technology and showcase the applications and utilities of geospatial information in different organizations and how geospatial based solutions have been helping to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in terms of work processes and delivery outputs. The theme will be addressed via dedicated day long symposiums like Design & Engineering and Utilities and through seminars on Oil & Gas; SDI for City Management and Governance; and Geospatial Technology - Developments and Trends.
