Introduction

Map Middle East is an international platform designed for building networks to enable g-lateral ties in the Middle East region for geospatial community. It is aimed at encouraging professionals representing different stakeholders of geospatial community to come together on a common platform and work together the means and ways to encourage geospatial related ties and collaborations at national, regional and global levels for overall growth of geospatial industry in the region.

Since its inception in 2005, Map Middle East has come long way and has been well established as the premium confluence of geospatial professionals and policy makers in the region. It has been successful in providing a truly international and independent platform for display and demonstration of state of the art technologies and solutions. Supported by innovative and relevant user case studies, the seminars and technical sessions have been instrumental in creating awareness and encouraging the investment of technical, managerial and financial resources to make use of geospatial information in respective domains.
