More than 1100 people from across industry, academia, government and user communities descended on Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Emirates of Abu Dhabi for Map Middle East 2009. The turnout, which included representatives from 41 countries, exceeded all expectations and further solidified Map Middle East as the Premier Geospatial Event of the region. This year Map Middle East featured bigger exhibit space, a larger and more robust technology demonstration and a three full day of Plenary sessions, seminars and symposium.

With the motto of 'Enabling G-lateral Ties' and theme 'Geospatial@Work', the three day conference aimed to serve the region of Middle East by providing a platform for international connectivity and raising the regional issues of the Geospatial community of the region. Those in attendance discovered cutting-edge geospatial technologies, heard from and asked questions of top leaders in the community, learned about academic research and continuing education opportunities, and networked with the who’s who in the geospatial community.

The Map Middle East 2010 will be held on 22 - 24 March at Emirates of Abu Dhabi. More information will be uploaded soon.
