Thank you for visiting Map Middle East website.
With around 900 participants from 32 countries from across the globe, the 6th edition of Map Middle East 2010 again achieved another remarkable milestone in geospatial community. Participation of eminent speakers, promising exhibitors and enthusiastic delegates contributed to its motto of leveraging the geospatial profile by illuminative talks and innovative products on latest geospatial technologies catering various domains.
Many emerged recommendations have been formulated following the discussions and deliberations made during the symposia like Environmental Management and Earth Observation System:Policy and Co-odination Framework, including:
- Three-point formula for a safe and effective space law of any country.
- Space is conceived in different ways to promote the replications of the treaty. There is a strong need to update the treaty.
- Need to bridge the gap between policy makers, industry and local people
- Government should facilitate availability of GIS data to the public and local information at decision making levels.
....and many more. The detailed conference report is a good resource for finding out what’s the action to enrich the Geospatial industry and will give you information on all the sessions and activities held throughout the event as well as their results.
